Aug .14.....That time of year again!...Welcome to another season of Raider Football! . The official
whistle of the 2004 season will go off this Sunday, the 22nd, as the Raiders play host to the Lakeland Junior Chiefs!
Aug,15.....Raider "Machine" in gear!.....Greased, oiled, and full tank of gas!.....Take it for a test
run!....as the Raiders did this Sunday, in a non-league exibition game with the Duryea Wildcats.
Aug,22..."Welcome To The Jungle"....was the song blaring from the Pa system, that opened the
third quarter of play. This anthem courtesy of Guns n Roses/& The Moosic Raider "B"Team!!......A tune that would set the
stage for the rest of the afternoon!........Raider "B" and "A" teams victorious over an "always tough", Lakeland Junior
Chiefs!.....Ryan Chisdock picks up 160 yds on two plays to add to the Raider offence in "A" team action today!
Aug,28....."B" Team Rolls to 2-0......gathering a few play-off points along the way, while the Raider
"A" team sits this one out due to forfeit with Lake Region.
Sept.4.....While Hurricane Frances threatens the East Coast.......the Moosic Raider Storm
touches down in Honesdale!....."B" & "A" teams return from the road victorious in week #3. Steve Wietz donates two td's
towards the cause, in A team action this evening.
Sept.12....Raiders R 4 Real!!!......standing alone at 4-0 in "A" division standings at mid season
are your..."Moosic Raiders"!........Standing alone at 4-0 in "B" division (American Conference) are your...."Moosic Raiders"!......
Sept.19.....A-top O Da Heap.....is where the Moosic Raiders "A" Team can be found in the ACC standings.
The guys move to 5-0 after picking up the win at home, this afternoon. The spark ignited with a hit that echoed across
town, (Courtesy of Matt Talarico) causing the safety, and first score up on the board. Next set of downs sent
Kevin through his line for the next score, and the rest shall we say is history...

Raider C Team......You have to give credit to this group of guys. Although struggling this season,
they will play their hearts out every weekend. They just continue to look for that certain something...to turn it all around!....Way
to go guys!
Raider B Team.....Nick Rossi, Tommy Armillay, Corey Talerico, Skylar Lavage, John Gorlesky, Stanley
Maros, Matt Briskie, etc, etc......Just a few of the names that make up this B team squad. After being dealt their first loss
of the season, the B team still holds at 4-0 in the ACC American Conference!,,,,,Congrats!
Raider A Team..... Graduation ceremonies were held last sunday at the field. Tough break for
senior Mike Williams who will miss most of the season due
to injury. Coach Dave/Matt will be loosing most of their lineup due to graduation, but not to worry, for lurking
in the shadows of advancement to the next level are a current 4-1 "B" Team for next season!
Raider Girls.......No football organization is complete without the cheerleaders.
These gals provide the cheers, the music, and the half-time dance routines. Great job A,B.C & D Girls!
The Fans.......They are parents, they are relatives, they are friends, they are people who just
like Moosic Football!.....They stand behind their Moosic Raiders through thick n thin. A great bunch of people who will
bring a bad call to your attention!
Congratulations to the Moosic Raider A,B,C,& D Teams!........The
Cheerleaders!
and everyone associated with this fine youth football organization!

"A" Team In Drivers Seat!
Sept,26.....Raiders "A" gunning for perfect record!....Raiders "A" will finish up their last two
regular season games, on the road. The guys will land at the house of the Taylor Jr Vikes this weekend, then pack it up next
Sunday to tangle with an always tough 5-1 Dunmore Oilers!
Oct,3......Raiders "Sweep" Mayors Cup Game!......"C" Team picks up their first win.......while the
"A" Team holds their course at 7-0!
Oct.10.......Raiders "A" Stay Perfect......as they come off a hard fought victory (14-13)
in Dunmore this afternoon! .....Congrulations R"A"iders!!.......8-0!
The Playoffs!
OCT.14........The ACC Playoff picture is now starting to come into focus. Sun the 17th will start
the first round of playoffs. Working that weekend will be the Moosic Raider "C" Team! They will be mixing it up with the North
Pocono Jr. Trojans at home, to see if they can make an advancement in the semi-finals. Good Luck Men!.......Standing behind
them in full support of the "C" team is another group of guys who will not be working this Sunday. They will be taking it
easy, to see what shakes loose in other playoff action. So if your travelling through Moosic and see 32 kids doing
absolutely nothing....don't worry...(It's all good!)......It's your Raider B & A teams on a "well deserved" By-weekend!......Way
to go guys!
Oct. 17....."C" Team Pulls It Off!.......with a 7-6 win over North Pocono,and now hooks up with
the B & A teams in the semi finals! ......Although, not travelling together, the C's will be headed up to North Pocono
to deal with the Olyphant Lions, while the A & B' s go to the dance in Taylor, to meet up with the Wayne Highland Stingers!
Oct.24......"B" & "A" Head To Conference Championship!........While the cold weather moves in.....the
heat gets turned up in the ACC Playoffs!......The B Team has to go and settle the score with a very tough North Pocono squad,
in order to get to the big bowl!......The A's need to get by the Olyphant Lions this weekend, and they have to do it
in their yard!.....The last hurdle before the SB!....Good Luck Guys!.
OCT.31.....Congratulations On a Fine Season 'B" Team....Congrulations "B" Team on bringing us to
the finals! You should be proud......because we are!
Oct.31......."A" Team ACC/American Conference Champions!............did I fail to mention SUPER-BOUND!!
.......It all comes to a head this Sunday at Riverside Stadium.......the best of the best.........Moosic/Dunmore......will
face off to settle this.....once and for all!.........Lock your doors and windows, for this game has all the earmarkings for
a war!.....Dunmore got by Lakeland (25-22) to clinch the Acc/National Conference Title this Sunday. These two teams have a
fine football program, from the high school level on down. It's ironic because Lakeland & Dunmore's high school
teams (ranked # 1 & 2) met up this past friday, while their "A" teams had to do the same thing on Sunday!......It
kind of makes you wonder what the coaches are thinking now.....If I were a coach and someone asked me who I would rather face
in the SB, Lakeland or Dunmore....I would probably say "Neither".....Both are very very tough teams, or the Dunmore coaches,
after celebrating their big victory...only to have a totally un-defeated Moosic Raiders waiting on deck!!!!.......Well all
questions and thoughts will be answered this Sunday......It does "not" get any better than this!!!!......Congrulations and
Good Luck!!
Nov. 7..........Raiders Win It
All!!........
Nov. 7........From main street you can smell french fries!.....I knew immediately, I was
in the right place! Inside the gates of Riverside Stadium...a war was raging!....When the smoke cleared....the West
Side Jets had become Super-Bowl Champs (B Division) over the North Pocono Jr. Trojans in Overtime!.....A great game and one
for the books!........Congrats to you both!.........Soon after, the sun went down, and the lights came on!........It was time
for the Moosic Raiders and Dunmore Oilers to get it on again!.....These two teams have made each others acquaintance before.....14-13
in regular season, and today to the tune of 24-8 for the Super Bowl Win!....The Silver & Black Attack
has done it all this season!......If a "things to do list" was created in pre-season, you can now check everything
off!!!
